FENECON Home battery systems are backup-capable straight from the factory – but the backup path of smaller inverters is limited in power per phase. The FENECON AVU (automatic load transfer switch) solves this elegantly: in grid-parallel operation it supplies your loads without restriction with up to 43 kW or 63 A – and only switches automatically to the inverter path when a power cut occurs.

Ready-to-use box with pre-wired connection area

The AVU comes as a pre-assembled box with a prepared connection area and integrated fuses for the inverter and the FEMS box – saving installation work and space in the meter cabinet. Manual switching from the outside is possible at any time.

Automatic changeover in approx. 2 seconds

If the grid fails, the AVU disconnects automatically and switches the supply to the backup path of the battery system – once the grid is restored, it returns to normal operation just as automatically.

Frequently asked questions about the FENECON AVU

Which battery systems is the AVU compatible with?

According to the FENECON product sheet, with the Home 6 and Home 10 systems – where it bypasses the limited power of the backup path. The AVU is not intended for Home 20 & 30, as their backup path already delivers full power.

Do I absolutely need the AVU for backup power?

No, the Home systems are backup-capable without the AVU too – the AVU increases convenience and available power, because your whole home is supplied without any rewiring.

Who installs the AVU?

Installation is carried out by a qualified electrician as part of the battery system installation.
