Patented plug-in system – installed in record time

The tower consists of 4 battery modules and a battery control unit (BCU), which simply plug on top of each other without any internal wiring. The patented design significantly shortens installation time and makes later expansion straightforward: up to three identical towers can be connected in parallel – for a maximum total capacity of 66.2 kWh.

Cobalt-free LFP cells for maximum safety

BYD develops and manufactures its own lithium iron phosphate cells – proven millions of times over in electric vehicles. LFP is regarded as the safest and longest-lasting cell chemistry on the market, and BYD backs it with a 10-year warranty.

True high-voltage efficiency

Because the modules are connected in series, the battery operates at a nominal voltage of 204.8 V and achieves an efficiency of over 96% when charging and discharging – confirmed by the HTW Berlin Energy Storage Inspection. The maximum output current of 50 A (peak 75 A for 3 s) also copes with high load peaks.

Backup-capable and weatherproof

The Battery-Box supports on-grid operation, backup applications and off-grid systems. Thanks to its IP55 rating, it can be installed indoors or in a sheltered outdoor location (-10 °C to +50 °C).

Yes – with additional modules in the tower or by connecting up to three identical towers in parallel, your battery storage grows with your needs.

How big and heavy is the tower?

The HVM 11.0 tower measures 1228 × 585 × 298 mm (H × W × D) and weighs 153–167 kg – it is delivered as easy-to-handle individual modules that are stacked on site.
