The FME battery maintenance charger prevents exactly that. Simply connect it to the factory-fitted BAT input on the FME 6000iD and FME 8000iD models, and it continuously supplies the internal starter battery with the correct maintenance charging current. Intelligent charging electronics automatically detect the battery's state of charge and switch between charging phase and maintenance mode – reliably preventing overcharging, deep discharge and sulphation.
