Buy AVR Generators – Reliable Voltage for Construction Sites, Workshops and Backup Power

AVR generators deliver automatically regulated output voltage and protect your connected equipment against voltage fluctuations.

At Kipor.org you will find AVR generators from FME, Hyundai, Genergy, DeWalt, ITC Power, Kompak, Eisemann, Ford, Black+Decker, KIPOR, ATG and CGM – in power classes from 2,000 watts to well over 15,000 watts.

What does AVR mean on a generator?

AVR stands for Automatic Voltage Regulation – an electronic control that automatically compensates for fluctuations in the output voltage. Even when the load on the generator changes, the voltage stays constant.

This protects connected equipment and ensures reliable operation of power tools, pumps, compressors, lighting systems and household appliances.

Honest advice: AVR is not suitable for sensitive electronics

In the industry, AVR is often presented as suitable for all equipment – including sensitive electronics. Technically, that is not correct, and at Kipor.org we tell you the truth: AVR only regulates the voltage, not the frequency.

Yet for sensitive electronics such as laptops, servers, medical equipment or heating controls, a stable frequency is just as important as a stable voltage. Even with a voltage tolerance of just 1%, an AVR generator can produce frequency fluctuations that may damage sensitive devices.

For sensitive electronics, we therefore expressly recommend our inverter generators – they produce a pure sine wave with stable voltage and frequency.

When AVR generators are the right choice

AVR generators are the rugged, proven solution for loads that do not need a frequency-stable supply: power tools such as drills, angle grinders and circular saws, site floodlights and lighting systems, fridges and freezers, fan heaters and air conditioners, water pumps and air compressors.

On construction sites, in workshops, at events and as a backup generator for buildings with conventional loads, AVR generators are the most economical choice.

AVR, SVR or inverter – the difference explained

AVR regulates the voltage and is ideal for standard loads and tools.

SVR (Smart Voltage Regulation) goes one step further and also copes with the high starting currents of motors and machinery – which makes it particularly well suited to running powerful chargers, for example for agricultural drones such as the DJI Agras T50 and T100.

Inverter generators produce a pure sine wave with stable voltage and frequency – the only safe choice for sensitive electronics.

Backup power with AVR generators

AVR generators make an excellent backup generator for buildings that mainly run conventional loads – such as lighting, refrigeration units or water pumps.

Models with an ATS connection (automatic transfer switch) start automatically during a power cut and take over the supply.

For households with heat pumps, heating controls or sensitive IT, we recommend a diesel inverter generator with ATS function instead.

AVR generator brands at Kipor.org

For AVR generators, we stock FME, Hyundai, Genergy, DeWalt, ITC Power, Kompak, Eisemann, Ford, Black+Decker, KIPOR, ATG and CGM. Every model is technically tested by us and adapted to the European market.

For industrial requirements and AVR standby power systems, we also work with engines from Cummins, Doosan, Baudouin, Perkins and MTU.

Why choose an inverter generator?

  • waves

    Clean sine wave

Conventional generators fluctuate. Inverters clean up the power digitally – your laptop and phone will thank you.

  • volume_down

    Whisper mode

Enclosed housings and eco mode make them up to 30% quieter than conventional generators.

  • eco

    Fuel saver

The engine only revs as high as it needs to. Need just 100 W? It simply ticks over at idle.
